Tomorrow I am setting off for Mozambique. I’ve been practicing my portuguese, packing my bag, and trying not to panic.
I am going on my own to visit Casa Re’om, a home for street kids in Beira and I am very much looking forward to seeing Victoria who works there and meeting Oliveira and Angelica and their family.
I’ve not been in Africa since around the age of 9 or 10 and I’ve not travelled alone since I got married 27 years ago. That’s a long time to rely on someone to take care of the ‘boring’ practical stuff like passports, money, credit cards etc!
I will try and send a blog update if I can, this mini post is really just a trial run to see if the ‘update by email’ feature actually works…
(It just did!)

Will be thinking and praying for you the whole way through Sheila – you’ll have an amazing time x
Prayers for a safe and enlightening time.
